The Wake Up business guidance programme is for the family-owned and/or privately run company and the self-employed. The purpose of having an enterprise is, after all, to achieve success and create wealth and Wake Up mentoring presents a unique opportunity to learn first-hand from a lifelong entrepreneur and top achiever his ideas on how to do just that. HOW CAN BUSINESS MENTORING HELP ME? Wake Up business mentoring helps YOU to start succeeding, achieving and creating wealth by inviting you to spend time in the company of a dynamic, proven achiever. Can you imagine the operational and strategic benefits to you and your business of such input? YES I CAN, BUT WHO IS MY MENTOR? Your mentor is an ex-business entrepreneur with a wealth of experience, keen for others to benefit from his twenty-seven years of success and achievement. His confidence-inspiring *personal history* makes fascinating reading. IT CERTAINLY DOES. WHEN CAN I MEET HIM? You will meet him when you attend a one or two day business guidance session. (Longer consultations may be available on request). FINE, BUT WILL HE WANT TO MEET ME? Of course he will. Your mentor is happy to conduct a business guidance session with anyone who requests one. GREAT, WHEN CAN THAT BE? Your business guidance sessions can commence as soon as you agree dates to meet with your mentor in Faro. YOU SAID FARO ... ? That's right. The venue for all Wake Up business guidance sessions is Faro, Portugal. GREAT - BUT WHY FARO? Why not Faro? It's where your mentor is! You will come to Faro because: (1) It is specifically Joseph T.Riach that you wish to see. (2) You realise that distancing yourself completely from current situations improves dramatically your ability to view and analyse those situations objectively. (3) The cost, even inclusive of transport and accomodation, is low in relation to the U.K. (4) You want to combine a refreshing break in a warm climate with your consultation - the perfect solution! MARVELLOUS! BUT HOW DO I GET THERE? There are frequent flights from many UK and Irish airports including *Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead, Glasgow* and *Manchester* for the two hour thirty minute flight to Faro. *Easy Jet* (now incorporating Go Airlines) flies several times daily from London, Bristol and East Midlands Airports among others. Irish guests may fly from Dublin, Shannon and Belfast. Once in Faro, Faro Airport is itself just a short hop from Faro city. You are of course responsible for making your own flight arrangements and for all costs. ... AND GOING BACK? You will go back to Faro Airport to catch your return flight to the U.K. or Ireland. ... AND IF I WANT TO GET THERE BY SOME OTHER MEANS? Whether you fly or whether you choose some other mode of transport to get to Faro, you are yourself responsible for making those arrangements and for the cost. Frankly, we have never had a Wake Up client not fly in and out as described but if you wish to make some other arrangement then please keep us informed. RIGHT, I'M IN FARO, WHAT NOW?Firstly, relax and unwind of course! ... but then some serious chat. It is YOU who will set the agenda. At the outset you will outline to your mentor your business situation and describe which aspects of your business most concern you. Is it sales, marketing, operational effectiveness, finance, personnel or a combination of many factors? Is there a crisis or is it just the day-to-day grind? Do you want change? Do you simply want to do better but aren't quite sure how to? Tell your mentor what you hope to achieve. He in turn will tell you of his general approach to business, his experience and his philosophies. (He may choose at this stage to introduce you to his concepts of the "wealth cycle" and "profit acceleration"). Throughout the ensuing session(s) you will be directed according to his original thoughts, ideas and actual experience with regard to success and achievement. This knowledge will be imparted to you informally in a relaxed and personal learning ambiance; strolling by the marina, lounging at pavement cafes and, if you choose, while enjoying the fine local cuisine and wines! SOUNDS EASY? It is easy. Business should be easy, not painful and messy. If you have a family-owned and/or privately run company or if you are self-employed your objective should be to achieve success and create wealth. If you are serious about advancing your situation then there is every chance that meeting with your mentor will help you to do that. CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT? You can only gain from meeting with your mentor. How could talking with a *seriously successful entrepreneur* and fellow business professional such as your mentor be anything but positive for you? However, it is how you respond to the information, guidance and motivation received from your mentor which will determine the level of benefit which you and your business ultimately derive from the experience. Ask yourself, "Would I invest in Wake Up business guidance if I did not already believe that there was substantial benefit for myself and my business to be had from the experience?" Probably not. The only risk you take in attending business mentoring is *the risk of being successful!* OK, I'M HOOKED! BUT THERE IS A COST? Of course, but Wake Up business guidance is *not expensive.* The cost is *moderate* in relation to the knowledge and experience from which you will benefit and *minimal* when compared to the potential wealth you may generate in the future through applying that knowledge! Fees are a straight Two Hundred and Fifty Euros per day. Even when all transport and accomodation is added this is low in relation to the U.K. HOW MUCH TIME DO I GET FOR THAT? A normal day session is 9.30 to 12.30 then 2.30 to 5.30. You may book for One or Two days (longer by arrangement). WHICH DAYS? Mentoring days are usually Monday plus Tuesday, then Thursday plus Friday (other days by arrangement and subject to availability). *Why not visit for a week (weekend to weekend say) and combine a refreshing break with your mentoring? - the perfect solution!* AND HOW DO I PAY? There is no advance payment or deposit. You simply turn up for your appointment as you would do anywhere in the U.K. Payment in full will be accepted in cash on introduction. FINE, WHAT DO I DO NOW? You simply *MAKE AN APPOINTMENT HERE* by e-mail. It couldn't be easier. Tell us a bit about yourself and we'll agree suitable dates, then you can *confirm the dates* once you have made your transportation and accomodation arrangements. AH! ACCOMODATION! You are responsible for booking your own accomodation and for your costs of accomodation and all meals. The excellent *EVA HOTEL* is situated in the heart of Faro overlooking the marina and is indeed the location for some mentoring sessions. The *ALNACIR HOTEL* is more economically priced but is a very good quality two-star establishment also suitable for meetings. Lots of good Pensao level accomodation is also available. OR for a small extra payment stay with your mentor in his Faro apartment and enjoy home-style comfort and all day coaching! ... AND CONTACT? In the meantime should you wish to make an appointment or if you have any queries or if there is anything at all of which you are unsure, then simply *CONTACT US HERE.* (In the interests of speed and efficiency, and to keep costs low, Wake Up operates a policy of communication only by e-mail). *NEWS FROM WAKE UP* ONE TO ONE 01 January 2005 Wake Up business guidance meetings are confidential one-to-one sessions with company principals only. This simply reflects how much your mentor insists on respecting the integrity of your affairs. Exceptions will be made where a 'second' principal wishes to attend but this must be pre-booked and full rates apply to each attendee. AGENDA 01 January 2005 The Wake Up agenda is an informal one. However don't expect the experience not to be an intense one. Your day with your mentor will start at Nine-Thirty A.M. (if you have not already joined him earlier for a morning run, walk or swim!) and continues through until Five-Thirty P.M. with a break for lunch between Twelve-Thirty and Two-Thirty. (Remember that meals, coffees and refreshments are not included in your Wake Up fees). Important. You may of course take notes at all times but the recording of talks and conversations is strictly prohibited. PERSONNEL TRAINING, INCENTIVE AND REWARD 01 January 2005 Many owners of small businesses have already sent their Sales, Marketing and other personnel to experience the motivational boost of Wake Up mentoring.
